Lesley Smitheringale from Ornate Flair

Ornate Flair offers decorative illustrations and surface pattern designs. Lesley Smitheringale, the Australian designer behind the brand, has been a practicing artist and teacher for over 20 years. Her richly detailed works reveal influences of her Scottish heritage and are sprinkled with elements of Celtic & folk art alongside touches of Art Nouveau, Paisley patterns and the Arts and Crafts Movement. She has also been influenced by some of her favourite artists including Charles Rennie Macintosh, William Morris & Aubrey Beardsley. She is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where she specialised in Printed Textiles, gaining a B.A Honours in Design.
